Continue a saved AI Speaking conversation

Return to a saved AI Speaking session and continue with its previous context, partner, and scenario. Each new call is saved as another recording in the same conversation history.

A useful speaking conversation does not have to end when one recording stops. You can now return to a saved AI Speaking session and continue from the context you already built.

Pick up the same conversation

Open **Your Recordings** or the review page for a compatible session, then choose **Continue**. IELTSly checks the saved session, restores the available conversation context, and starts a new call with the same speaking partner and scenario. You can choose the available voice mode before reconnecting.

Because the partner receives the earlier context, you can follow up on an answer, explore the topic more deeply, or practise a longer exchange without repeating the whole introduction.

Review the complete history

The continued call is saved as a new recording rather than overwriting the original. Recordings from the same conversation are grouped together, and the review page lets you move between previous and next sessions. Earlier transcripts and feedback remain available, so you can compare how your fluency, vocabulary, and responses develop over time.

Good to know

Continuing starts a new live call and uses Gold Coins in the same way as a new AI Speaking session. A recording needs enough saved transcript and session information to restore its context; when that information is unavailable, IELTSly will explain that the session cannot be continued. End any active call before starting another one.
